14-year old American GM Abhimanyu Mishra became the youngest grandmaster ever when he secured his third and final GM norm by winning the 2021 Vezérképző GM Mix tournament in Budapest, with 7 points in 9 rounds.

In 2021, Mishra shared first place in the Charlotte Chess Center’s Spring Invitational held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. In 2022, he finished in shared second place in the Reykjavik Open, scoring 7 points in 9 rounds. He also won the St. Louis 2022 Spring Chess Classic B tournament with a score of 7/9 and a performance rating of 2739.

He is participating in the TePe Sigeman Chess Tournament for the first time.
