Tepe Sigeman & Co Chess Tournament can announce, not without some pride, that the Spaniard David Llada will be the tournament photographer in 2023. Llada is one of the more renowned photographers in the chess world. Few can match his skill at capturing the drama on the board. Llada’s close-ups of the players capture the struggle and many times the agony that a chess player can feel at the board. This is documented in his book ”The Thinkers” published in 2018.
It’s not just photography that occupies David’s time these days, FIDE employs him as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer.
