Tepe Sigeman & Co Chess Tournament

The draw for this year’s tournament is now complete. In round 1, the following players will battle at the board:

Jonas Buhl Bjerre – Gawain Jones

The starting field is now complete. The young grandmaster Jonas Buhl Bjerre from Denmark will be the 8th player in this year’s tournament. GM Bjerre really showed his strength in the recently concluded European Championships. He ended up in 22nd place and thus qualified for the World Cup.

Bad news. Ex-world champion Anatoly Karpov has withdrawn from the tournament. The search for a replacement is ongoing.

After all, the Tepe Sigeman & Co Chess Tournament will be played in 2021. The tournament will be played September 23 – 29 at Elite Plaza Hotel in Malmö. The start field looks like this:
